The Columbia Museum of Art in Columbia SC will feature the works of Jane Peterson through July 22, 2018
She was an American artist who embraced the greater world through travels and study in England, Spain, France, Italy, Yugoslavia and eventually, Egypt and Turkey. CMA curator Will South calls her “fiercely independent, highly adventurous and remarkably talented.”
The exhibition shows her progression from impressionist, to fauvist, and from realism to modernist abstraction. The paintings are simply beautiful!
